An envelope from the land of the rising sun sure stands out amongst the junk mail!! Ripping said envelope open, I pulled out the latest copy of Rock and Snow - all shinny and bright it was too...

I remember well, back in the old days, the excitement of seeing the latest magazine for the first time – the quick flick-through in the shop and then the later wow of reading said mag cover-to-cover whilst drinking a beer. OK – I admit it, I still get that buzz when a mag drops through the letter-box AND I’ve something featured inside.

Rock and Snow, for those of you that haven’t come across it, isn’t a catalogue from a high street major but a monthly(?) climbing magazine published in Japan. And the point of this – just to say that they covered Ondra’s visit to the UK with a report and pix from me. Without wishing to knock Climb – who also covered Ondra’s visit with a report and pixs from me, inclusion of my stuff in Rock and Snow, though small, was kinda special. Nice pixs in the rest of the mag too. Shame I can’t read Japanese!

Front Cover of Rock and Snow – a good read I shouldn’t wonder, providing your Japanese is up to the job...

Rock and Snow coverage, supplied by yours truly, of Adam Ondra’s UK tickfest...

Rising Sun envelope...

And last but not least, the Climb coverage...
