Cue drum roll… Folks, please give it up for Craig Bailey, the winner of this year’s UKClimbing ‘Be in my Calendar’ Competition…

Craig, a would-be molecular biologist-cum-geneticist from the North West beat all-comers to the top slot in the comp and hence will be appearing in Climbing:2012. The three runners-up are Laura Hudson – a gun-point only trad climber also from the North West, Ian Robinson – a road-side Lake District boulderer and Jesamine Bartlett – who passes her time preparing for her ultimate challenge, Dream of White Horses. A copy of Climbing:2012 will wing it way to each of them in the very near future.

This year’s photo shoot with Craig was, of necessity, on the rainshadow crag that is Dinbren, one of the main crag in the Clwyd area. This is a cracking neck of the woods if you’ve not been and one where the weather seems to be half decent more often than not.

I’ll get a full write-up of the photo shoot posted in the next few days so watch out for it in the Article page of the website. Meanwhile here’s a couple of shots to check-out of Craig doing his stuff for the camera…
