It’s time for the ‘Be in my Calendar Competition’ again as UKClimbing are sponsoring a page in Climbing:2012. We want YOU to feature in your finest kit and cut a lean, mean figure on the UKClimbing page. You should know the score by now; answer a few simple questions and then stand by and wait for Keith to call you to arrange the calendar shoot...

My climbing calendar for next year, snappily titled Climbing:2012 will be published late summer/autumn and the winner of this competition will be featured on the UKClimbing page of Climbing:2012. YOU will be photographed by me at a suitably location providing you are:

·        an experienced rock climber capable of leading rock routes of V Diff upwards

·        available during late July/early August for a photo shoot and

·        bring a mate to climb with and a sac of kit to use.

In detail…

  • The comp winner (in addition to appearing in the calendar…) will also get a complementary 18x12” poster print (of a photo of their choice) from the photo shoot as well as a copy of Climbing:2012
  • The winner’s mate will get a copy of Climbing:2012
  • A selection of images from the day will be published in a gallery on UKClimbing in a write-up of the day as well as being well and truly blogged on KSP
  • A copy of Climbing:2012 will also go out, one each for three runners-up.

The closing deadline/date is midnight on Sunday 17th July 2011.

To get the competition questions, get the low down on how to enter and check-out the small print - a.k.a. the comp rules – get along to www.ukclimbing.com or see the competition page on his website.

The ‘Be in my Calendar Competition’, now in its fourth year, has produced some great shots – last year’s winner Liam Lonsdale even made it onto the front cover climbing well off the beaten track at St Bees Head up in The Lakes. Who knows where this year’s winner will pitch-up – only time will tell. However, you’ve got be in it to win it – as they say.
